Jesus the Christ

Jesus the Christ
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. -Acts 1:9-11

"Eye hath not seen"

When we really love God, we show that love through our actions.  Really loving God means keeping His commandments, showing appreciation for Him and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, in the only way that is really available to us, by doing what He has asked us.  Isn't that awesome?  All we have to do is love the being who has given us everything, who has saved us from more than we can comprehend, and then we can't even comprehend the blessings in store for us.  I feel like that's a really good deal.
I recently read this address by Elder Neil Andersen, a Church leader, called "You Know Enough."  You can find the talk here.  It is so good; I would really recommend!  Elder Andersen says that there are times when it is especially difficult to remember that the Lord loves us, but when we remember that we already have that knowledge that He loves us, we can get through those hard things.

  1. Rachel, I'm glad you posted this. I often think about the phrase "you know enough," but it's been a while since I've revisited all of the other stories in this talk that really bring it all together.
